A retainer holds your teeth in their corrected positions while the surrounding bone and tissue adapt and stabilize.
Retainers aren’t just for after braces. Invisalign patients need them too. Any time teeth have been moved, retention is essential.
Types of Retainersat Smile Pop
Clear (Essix) Retainers
Clear retainers are custom-made from thin, transparent plastic that fits snugly over your teeth. They’re nearly invisible, comfortable, and easy to remove for eating and cleaning. Most patients prefer them for everyday wear.
Hawley Retainers
Hawley retainers feature an acrylic base with a metal wire that sits across the front of the teeth. They’re durable, adjustable, and can last for years with proper care. A good option for patients who want a long-lasting, easy-to-clean appliance.
Permanent Bonded Retainers
A permanent bonded retainer is a thin wire adhered to the back of the teeth (typically the lower front teeth) so it stays in place around the clock without any effort. It’s ideal for patients who worry about remembering to wear a removable retainer.
The RetainerAssurance Program
Smile Pop’s Retainer Assurance Program means you never have to worry about losing or damaging a retainer. The program includes replacement retainers as needed, keeping your investment protected long-term. Ask about enrollment when you book.
Retainer Pricing atSmile Pop
Retainers at Smile Pop are $300 to $1,100 depending on the type and number of arches. Clear retainers are $300 for a single arch and $600 for a full set of both arches. Individual tooth rebonding for a permanent bonded retainer is $125 per tooth, with a maximum of $550.

Prices vary based on your specific needs. Retainers are a cosmetic appliance and are typically not covered by insurance, but FSA and HSA funds can often be applied.

How to Get Retainersat Smile Pop
You don’t need to be a current Smile Pop patient to get retainers from us. If you’ve finished treatment elsewhere and need a new or replacement retainer, book online and select Retainers. We’ll take impressions or a digital scan and have your retainer ready quickly.
